Ultra Quiet SR is a high-performing 1″ thick composite flooring underlayment consisting of a rigid phenolic-treated honeycomb core molded between two layers of high-density glass fiber. This product is used to reduce footfall and impact noises from the spaces above.
Ultra Quiet SR is often used beneath gypcrete, concrete, or plywood build-ups. Ultra Quiet SR ships in 4′ x 8′ sheets, is lightweight and easy to cut and install, and withstands live loads up to 1000 PSF.

How is Ultra Quiet SR Floorboard installed?
Once perimeter foam is installed around the perimeter walls where the flooring is to be installed, UltraQuiet SR sheets are laid down. There is no fastening, glueing or taping. Once the sheets are laid down, a concrete or gypcrete topping can be poured over plastic directly onto the Ultra Quiet SR. Alternately, instead of concrete, 2 layers of plywood or OSB can be installed with layers glued & screwed together to create a strong surface for the finished floor to install to.
