Cristina Miyar
Principal
San Francisco
Cristina joined Acousthetics in 2016 as a Principal and co-owner after working for 21 years as an acoustical consultant and undertaking design projects across the USA. Cristina brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on acoustical and architectural design experience to the company. Cristina holds an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University in music with a concentration in experimental acoustics, a Masters in Architecture from UC Berkeley, and is a member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA).
Tyler Adams
Principal
Los Angeles
Tyler joined Acousthetics in 2017 and became a Principal in 2019. He previously worked for several years as an acoustical consultant. Tyler holds an M.S. in Architectural Acoustics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a Board Certified member of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering (INCE). He authored a book titled Sound Materials: A Compendium of Sound Absorbing Materials for Architecture and Design, published by FRAME in 2017.
Alma Gomez

Alma joined Acousthetics in 2024 continuing her journey from Luxury Residential Theater projects and Architectural lighting manufacturing before that. Through the years she’s delivered bespoke solutions to Architects, Interior Designers, Contractors and other stakeholders assisting in bringing their projects to life. She is committed to exceeding client expectations and cultivating enduring relationships.
Marianne Russell
Business Development / Sales
Early in her career, Marianne owned a commercial sewing workroom supplying custom finishings to Interior Designers and Architects. Her work expanded into managing production for stage drapery, theatrical backdrops, and creating custom technical textiles for acoustical applications. Her expertise in manufacturing and fabrication merged with architectural acoustics, leading to roles as a product and sales manager for motorized variable acoustic banners and sales representation of acoustical millwork. She joined Acousthetics in 2024.
Anita Jen
San Francisco
Anita is a CA licensed architect and joined Acousthetics in 2018 after many years working on telecommunications infrastructure projects. Her design skills, project management experience in design/construction, and personal interest in Architectural Acoustics makes her an excellent part of our team. Anita graduated with a Bachelors of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University Pomona.
Sohrab Sedghi
Los Angeles
Sohrab joined Acousthetics in 2020. He’s had a passion for design from a very young age. After earning a Bachelor of Architecture, he spent the following 10 years designing high-end residential, commercial, and hospitality projects throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States. Sohrab enjoys learning new skills to improve the efficiency and quality of his work. He’s a valuable member of our team and consistently offers great ideas and design solutions.
Koutaro Ishizaki
San Francisco
Koutaro comes from an extensive design-build background and has worked on a variety of projects throughout the Bay Area. He values transparent and honest communication through any project timeline. Prior to joining Acousthetics in 2022, he worked as the Director of Design for a general contracting firm. Koutaro graduated from CSU East Bay with a B.S. in Construction Management and is a certified LEED Green Associate (GA).
Reza Yazdi
Los Angeles
Reza joined Acousthetics in 2024, working previously as a Technical Sales Engineer and Project Manager for a variety of Vibration and Shock applications across Europe and the United States. Reza holds a degree in Civil & Architectural Engineering from Denmark Technical University (2010).
James Levis
San Francisco
James joined Acousthetics in 2023. He has over 20 years experience in the AEC industry, the majority providing mechanical design and CA services for commercial, mission critical, healthcare, hospitality, mixed use, and high tech sectors. Also a touring musician and audio engineer with experience on both sides of the glass, James has a passion for acoustics with a solutions-oriented focus.
Brenda Hernandez

Brenda joined Acousthetics in 2022. She has a strong background in customer service and client relationship management. With over 10 years in internal and external sectors, Brenda has experience in management consultation, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration.
