The new LAX/Metro Transit Center Station officially opened on June 6th, marking a major milestone in LA’s expanding transit network. Designed by Grimshaw, Gruen Associates, and Arup, this landmark intermodal hub connects the upcoming Automated People Mover (APM), Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility (CONRAC), and the broader MTA light rail and bus system.
Purpose-built for fluid passenger movement, the station features sweeping canopies, daylight-filled concourses, and intuitive wayfinding across transit modes. We’re proud that Acoustement Spray-Applied Acoustical Plaster was chosen to meet the project’s high acoustic performance and design demands.
